Times Academic Press was established in 1990 to publish books, journals and other academic materials on Asian studies.

Among its publications are two National University of Singapore journals - Asia Pacific Journal of Social Work and Development and Asian Journal of Political Science , China and the Chinese Overseas and other books on overseas Chinese by well-known historian Prof Wang Gungwu and an economics book series by Australia-based scholar, Assoc Prof Gerald Tan (including ASEAN: Economic Development and Cooperation).
