 Marshall Cavendish About Us

Norman Marshall and Patrick Cavendish established Marshall Cavendish in the UK in 1968. Since then, we developed a strong market presence in France, Germany and the US before expanding to other regions of the world, in particular Asia. Our strong infrastructure in Asia arose from the establishment of a network of offices in the region and the strategic acquisition of companies such as Oxford Universities Press and MPH (Singapore).

With our geographic growth, our stable of brands and products expanded to encompass the fields of Education, General & Reference, Business, Home and Library Reference, among others. Marshall Cavendish today publishes in an extensive range of genres, languages and formats, including multimedia products and various forms of electronic learning.

Our brands have received international recognition for quality, most notably Federal-Marshall Cavendish Education, Marshall Cavendish Benchmark and Marshall Cavendish Reference for education, Tree of Knowledge for partwork and Times Editions-Marshall Cavendish for general interests.

Another achievement is the publication of the Times Business Directory of Singapore, known as the Buku Merah and which has been on the market for more than 100 years. We also earned critical and popular acclaim for series such as Culture Shock! My Pals Are Here and Rainforests of the World.

For more than three decades, Marshall Cavendish has strove to meet the needs of educators, parents and learners across the world through its philosophy and products, which advocated the finest ideals of education and lifelong learning. With innovation and confidence born of experience, we are poised to project our vision to the future.

Marshall Cavendish is a member of Times Publishing Limited.
