Dr. Robert Wilks holds a B.A. in English Literature from Sussex University, a Masters degree from Crewe and Alsager College, and a PhD in Education from Curtin University. He has been teaching in Singapore for over 25 years and is currently the Subject Head of General Paper at Hwa Chong Institution.

He has written over 15 books for Singapore secondary schools on a range of subjects including several successful texts for 'O' level English language and numerous study guides for 'O' level Literature. He is the editor/compiler of the highly popular Total Study Shakespeare series and has also published three General Paper text books as well as an advanced vocabulary workbook for Singapore junior colleges.
