"Very Inspiring !"-Priya Ranjan

About the Book

Written by two experts who have lived and worked in Africa for two decades, Amazing Africa: A Corporate Journey is a collection of 25 colourful tales and anecdotes of their enriching time spent on the continent.

Today, Africa is a serious investment destination where there are billion dollar deals happening on a daily basis, with strong interest from governments and the private sectors alike. Amazing Africa not only contributes to a better appreciation of these business opportunities that lie in Africa, but it also provides a window into the social, cultural and environmental conditions of one of the world’s most exotic and least-understood continents.

Amazing Africa: A Corporate Journey promises to be a valuable companion to anyone interested in learning about the business environment in Africa and to anyone planning on embarking upon their own African adventure.

About the Authors

Both MD Ramesh and Ranveer Chauhan are senior executives at Olam International Ltd and have been instrumental in developing Olam’s significant agricultural business interests on the African continent over the past 20 years.

Ramesh spent his childhood across India at various Naval bases and is an enthusiastic sportsman, a brave foodie and a keen naturist. Presently, Ramesh lives in Durban with his wife and two student daughters.

Ranveer has his roots in Safidon, (Haryana, India) and he grew up in Kanpur, (Uttar Pradesh, India). He credits his interest in and love for people, places, plants and animals to his late father and to the lovely communities he came in contact with over the years. He lives in Singapore with his wife; their two children are at university.
