Conceived by accident, Michael Chiang spent many years apologising for his existence. He found solace in philosophy at university, where he learned that since he thinks, therefore he is.
A serious purveyor of shallow pursuits, he has been known to write plays in his spare time. These include the successful stage comedies Army Daze, Beauty World and Mixed Signals. A journalist by training, he readily accepts all blame for introducing the 8 Days magazine to the Singapore workforce.
