The second book of the Sprawl universe follows the trials and travails of Jack, a nightshift taxi driver. Forced out of his home by a tycoon’s unscrupulous land grab, he retaliates in the only way a former soldier knows how – violence.

But with the help of an intrepid reporter, Jack manages to change the rules of the game – with devastating consequences. 

Felix Cheong is the author of 18 books. His works have been widely anthologised and nominated for the prestigious Frank O’Connor Award and the Singapore Literature Prize. Conferred the Young Artist Award in 2000 by the National Arts Council, he holds a master’s in creative writing and is currently an adjunct lecturer with the National University of Singapore, Murdoch University, University of Newcastle and Curtin University.  

Arif Rafhan is a Malaysian illustrator, comic artist and runs his neighborhood doodle class at home. He also provides doodle therapy service for corporate clients and government bodies. His online comics, #seketulsina is about his children being themselves.  

In the tradition of noir comics like Sin City, Sprawl is gritty and laced with dark humour. Innovative and surprising in its blend of poetry and art, Sprawl is the first in a new graphic novel series by Felix Cheong and Arif Rafhan.
